NEW Winter Season Savings!

As members of the Greater Madison Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, The Speckled Hen Inn Bed and Breakfast wants to make Madison a destination in all seasons! We’re offering NEW WINTER SEASON rates from November 1 – March 31 (excluding holidays) and a choice of even lower rates from Sunday-Wednesday nights!   Because we need a break too, we won’t be providing breakfast on Monday-Thursday during winter season except when holiday rates are shown.  But you’ll still get your favorite suite with a  fireplace and jetted tub, the cozy Inn and we’re only minutes to downtown. It’s Lambing Season!

If you love animals like we do, then you may want to consider a stay in the near future at The Hen to get an up close and personal look at the lambs that have just been born!  For all our repeat guests, Buster is well known.  He’s the lamb that was bottle fed (by many of our guests!) last winter and now he thinks he’s a dog.   Our new babies include Blizzard, Cocoa, Bandit, Ben & Jerry and Lilly, our sweet llama who is the flock’s protector, is so proud because she now has a job to do again!   Book a stay soon and make some memories!

Madison WI Winter Festival February 18-19, 2017

  Madison WI will be celebrating winter at Madison Winter Fest on February 18-19 on the capitol square in downtown Madison.  Events begin on Friday and continue through Sunday.  There are all kinds of things to get involved in as a participant or a spectator.  Watch ice carving and snow sculpting.  It is not the olympics but there will be running and racing and snowboarding and tubing and shoeing and xc skiing and just a grand winter fun time.  If you get chilled you can pop into the Wisconsin State Historical Society Museum on the Capitol Squate for a viewing of their Odd Wisconsin display.
