Maybe you love Thanksgiving Dinner, but don’t like preparing it?
That’s where we come in! You’ll enjoy a fabulous meal without lifting a finger!
Join us for Thanksgiving with the Innkeepers! Maybe you want to get away for the Thanksgiving holiday, but family is too far away, and you are looking for something different to do. Or, you live close by, but you just don’t feel like preparing all those favorite foods but you’d really like to enjoy them.
Madison is always a great getaway, but on Thanksgiving Day, there isn’t much open. Pick-up dinners, yes, but not a lot of choices for a homemade traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. And we don’t know of ANY B&B’s offering Thanksgiving Dinner!
So we invite you to join us for Thanksgiving with the Innkeepers for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner served on Thanksgiving Day at 2:00pm including turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet peas, salad, cranberry sauce, and rolls with butter. You will also have a choice of red or white wine, our traditional cranberry rum cider, and various sodas and juices. For dessert, there will be homemade pumpkin pie (GF also avail), apple pie and pumpkin and/or vanilla ice cream. Yes, homemade pumpkin ice cream, and it’s delicious!
The cost is room rate plus $50pp if you’re with us for 2 nights, and if you’re with us for 3 nights, it’s only $30pp! Wednesday night check-in required, no check-ins will be available on Thursday.
If you want to join us for Thanksgiving Dinner, please request this package at least one week in advance of your arrival.
When we think of Thanksgiving, we think of a time of family, friends, food, and fun. And if you stay with us at The Speckled Hen Inn, especially if you’re a repeat guest, you’re like family anyway!
As you check in on Wednesday, we’ll have hot cranberry rum cider (non-alcoholic also available) waiting for you that you can take on a stroll as you enjoy the beautiful grounds and animals grazing in the pasture. Perhaps you want to sit at the firepit for a bit or enjoy your cider in the gazebo before going to dinner at one of our many wonderful restaurants in the Madison area. We have a list of our favorites available on our website as well as paper copies in our gathering room.
After dinner, there’s nothing like a hot bath in the jetted tub in your room and a cozy fireplace to let you unwind and relax. After a restful night’s sleep on our oh-so-soft Comphy sheets, you’ll enjoy a farm-to-table breakfast with a complete menu to choose from. After a hearty breakfast, feel free to relax in the gathering room at the puzzle table in front of the fire, read a book, or watch a movie in the theatre room. Or maybe just take a nap!
Just know you can relax and enjoy the intoxicating aromas as Thanksgiving Dinner is being prepared and you don’t have to do a thing!
Around 2pm, once everything is ready, we’ll let you know and Thanksgiving Dinner will be just like at home. It’s casual dress, and you’ll grab a plate and take what you want. And seconds are OK! Conversation is always fun, and maybe we’ll even do some icebreaker games. There never seems to be a shortage of conversation around here, we just love getting to know our guests. We also love making them feel at home and maybe that’s why so many return again and again.
And just like at home, we’ll even have desserts available in the evening if you get a craving for a little snack before bed.
